New covers for the Morgan and Grant series

The new covers for In the Absence of Light and By the Light of Dawn.

I hired someone to create a more modern look for the books. Let me know what you guys think!

For years Grant Kessler has smuggled goods from one end of the world to the next. When business turns in a direction Grant isn’t willing to follow he decides to retire and by all appearances he settles down in a nowhere town called Durstrand. But his real plan is to wait a few years and let the FBI lose interest, then move on to the distant coastal life he’s always dreamed of.

Severely autistic, Morgan cannot look people in the eye, tell left from right, and has uncontrolled tics. Yet he’s beaten every obstacle life has thrown his way. And when Grant Kessler moves into town Morgan isn’t a bit shy in letting the man know how much he wants him.

While the attraction is mutual, Grant pushes Morgan away. Like the rest of the world he can’t see past Morgan’s odd behaviors

Then Morgan shows Grant how light lets you see but it also leaves you blind. And once Grant opens his eyes, he loses his heart to the beautiful enigma of a man who changes the course of his life.

This is a follow up to the novel In the Absence of Light.

A handmade sailboat helped bring Morgan back to Grant but he never imagined they would put it in the water.

Then Morgan sees something in the light that sets Grant on a mission to get them to the middle of the ocean. An unknown destination they have to be at when the sun rises.

It’s important enough that Morgan is willing to leave Durstrand. Important enough that he’ll face the challenges of his autism.

So important, it could even be a matter of life and death.

By The Light of Dawn happens at the same time The Darkest Hour (Jeff’s story) takes place and contains mild spoilers as well as teasers. The plot points revealed are the same ones that were revealed at the end of In the Absence of Light.

Help fund In the Absence of Light audiobook - Buy signed print copies of ITAOL and BTLOD and get exclusive artwork

I want to turn In the Absence of Light into an audiobook. There are three ways to help!

1. I am selling print copies of In the Absence of Light and By the Light of Dawn.

If you order them from me, I will include artwork of Morgan and Grant. If you don't want print copies you can buy just the artwork. Shipping is included for the US. International people will need to pay for shipping. My experience has been around $24 for shipping.

Here is a nifty form Sharon created to reserve your copy. You won't be charged until I get ready to order the books. You will be sent a Paypal invoice at that time.

I will keep this form open for a few weeks. Once closed you will receive your invoice and I will order the books. If you miss the first book order I will open it again once the first batch has been mailed out.

In the Absence of Light news and other updatey things.

Here are Morgan and Dog from my novel In the Absence of Light. I post my artwork on Patreon first then usually on my Instagram art page. So if you want to catch images of my characters follow me!

https://www.instagram.com/authoradriennewilder/

And for all the In the Absence of Light fans, I am posting the second novel (Jeff's story) called In the Darkest Hour on Patreon. Three pages every Monday. The pages are from my second draft of the story and some things will change before the final story is released (added and deleted scenes).

AND...

I am writing a novella about Morgan and Grant taking their boat out for the first time and it will tie in with The Darkest Hour! Surprise. I'm hoping to release it by August. I'll keep you informed.

📚📚📚📚

Also, I'm drawing a Nox graphic novel. Here is Luca from page 6, remembering his brother, Koda. Currently only on Patreon ($3 tier). It will eventually be released.

Would you like an In the Absence of Light audiobook?

I need your help. I would like to have In the Absence of Light made into an audiobook narrated by Kirt Graves (he narrated Nox).

ITAOL has been out for five years so there is no way for Tantor Audio to gauge interest in ITAOL.

If you are interested in buying an ITAOL audiobook, fill out the form. Share the form. We need at least 1000 names/emails to send to Tantor Audio.

Let's bring Morgan to life!
