Writing update: NoX, Sicario, Pandora

I am doing a big push to get NoX out. Might get it to the editors next week!

As you know I write four to five books at a time and I had run into sticking points in all of them. Basically plot weaknesses I had to figure out. Recently solutions for NoX, Sicario, and Pandora resolved themselves. So I am concentrating on writing to get these three out in that order.

A Very Chimera Christmas mini-comic

I am currently creating a 20 page-ish comic about that time the Doxies decorated the Chimera like a Christmas tree and Kaleb pays the price ;) I'm on page 11 now and things are about to get Bound Gods raunchy. I'm using this comic as a chance to practice and come up with a style I'm comfortable with. It is currently only on Patreon. The $1 reward gets censored pages as they go up (two pages a week). Everyone above that reward gets the NSFW pages.

Once the comic is done and if it gets good feedback I will bind it into a print copy for sale.

Page 4 has been turned into a postcard that all Patrons will be getting in the mail. It has also been turned into cards w/envelopes and will be sold in packs of 5 for $8 (shipping included)! Patrons will get first shot at buying them. The rest will be offered to people in my FB group.

I only have 10 packs of 5 cards. If you think you are going to want some let me know and if there is enough interest I'll order more.

About the Author:

Georgia born and bred, I am an artist, a writer, and a general pain in the ass.

I spend most of my days working on my next book or designing cover art for other writers. For stress relief, I do Olympic lifting and occasionally run (but hate it). I have been in love with writing since I was very young but it wasn't until recently that I decided to pursue it as a profession.

I have experimented in several genres and found that since I identify as male, male romance has been the most comfortable for me to write. I don't discriminate in my books. All characters are fair game. I do, however, prefer a happy ending at some level.

I don't write the standard romance book. Some might even argue that what I write isn't romance at all. Personally, I think of them as love stories, where even in a fantastical world, there are realistic outcomes to the obstacles the characters face.

I think I found a manufacturer that's willing to do smaller samples. I'll probably have to do a partial Kickstarter to prepay for the items so that I will have less out of pocket costs. I am going to get together a prototype with the correct fabric and colors to make it easier on them to get it right.

Adrienne and I were driving back from lunch and started talking about...alien man parts and possibilities which led to talk about flowers which led to this... Adrienne sketched out 12 flowers for his garden (uncensored versions on pateron).

Adrienne is still working on the next two Bound Gods books. His unusual shifter book which had been in development for about two years, NoX, is moving along quickly now and might be out in December (don't hold him to this!).

He is still working on Jeff's story too. Adrienne's brain controls which book he works on and doesn't consult with him about it. So there are multiple books being written at the same time and he jumps between them.

He has been experimenting with digital painting and turning fans into Doxies!

Dear Starbucks: The former Quiet Room, now known as the Chamber of Where Happiness Went to DIE.

I meet with a critique group every Saturday and a writers group every Sunday at a Starbucks nearby. There is a large and comfy quiet room. Recently, Starbucks remodeled the quiet room...we are not happy

Your Honorable patrons would like to enter exhibit A @Starbucks

A: 3.5 foot Sacrificial Altar.
B: Chair of death with the backrest of LIES
C: Frisbee on legs? For what? Too small to put a lap top on, too short to use as a decent drink rest. My theory is it's a landing pad for crows who arrive to carry away the souls of the dead.
D: Even George Jetson would be disappointed.
E: A bench so low to the ground that it can only be the presentation slab for the most recent victim of the chairs of death. I mean, the landing pads are right there for convince, what else could it be? It's like 14 inches off the ground.
F: FOR FAIL--Handicap marker at 3.5 foot high table!
G: A plug, for what? There are plugs on the tables. And since you eradicated all the tables and chairs that used to line that wall why the hell are there plugs? Is this a joke. Are you laughing at us by forcing us to relive daily what we had and you STOLE!
H: Plugs and USB conveniently placed under the table at every chair of death that no one could possibly find comfortable for more than 30 min and even then they'd have to be shooting novocaine into their thighs.
I: Puddle of dying light because there is no winning against the darkness befallen this room. Even the sunlight, during the brightest part of the day, fails to lift the repressive atmosphere of gloom and doom.
J: Tiny lights so not to discourage the demons of despair from crawling out of the shadows to suck out your soul.

A: The giant Elephant butt plug, weebles wobbles, wooden chicken egg.

And I mean PACKED...and now? no one wants to stay here. People came in took one look, burst into tears, and fled for their lives.

I have had a time trying to find an artist for the Bound Gods graphic novel. I have an excellent artist, Inochihime, for my Doxie Diaries: Jinx and Ira: Bitter Sweet, but I wanted a different style for Bound Gods. So, for now, I am going to do the comic pages.

The first four pages are up on Pateron. They are intro pages giving the reader a taste of what the world is like after the Collapse. Here is part of page four. Whose car is that leaving the protected area? Where are they going? If you've read Bound Gods Book One: Chimera then you know!

I want to let you there is enough membership now for me to put up at least two pages a month because I am doing my best to meet pledges dollar for dollar. The guy I am interviewing for the Bound Gods comic is very stoked. I just have to make sure he can pull off the character drawings as this seems to be the hardest for EVERYONE I have interviewed (over the past year) for this project. He's also very, very excited to do as many pages as possible---I told him careful what he wishes for. This means, if he gets the job, every penny on Patreon will go to him to keep him busy. I'd love, love, LOVE to see 4+ pages a month. I'd love to see enough, on the first annual birthday of this page, to put to bed the first full graphic novel to send out to patrons.

You have given so much, and I am overwhelmed by how generous you have been. I'm hoping it won't be too much to ask for you to spread the word. That, in my experience, has been the GREATEST way to get a project out, book or comic, where people can see it. There are folks out there who are not big novel readers (Shocking, I know) but they love yaoi comics or comics in general and would never know this is here without you. Doxie Diaries: Ira and Jinx in Bitter Sweet webcomic has started! Plus some WILD news.

I've got some new things going on over on my Patreon. The Doxie Diaries webcomic has started. The first story Doxie Diaries: Ira and Jinx in Bitter Sweet is about a young godling named Jinx. He hasn't taken any ambrosia yet and lives outside of the protected areas. His special skills are opening any mechanical lock, great a climbing (think extream parkour), unshakable balance and can land on his feet unhurt from any height. Ira is a young Doxie who has never had ambrosia either. He was hidden from the association outside of the protected area and has spent the last two years in a locked room.

There will be humor, angst and lots of smut...this is a Bound Gods story after all. The first page up on my Patreon and available to everyone for free. Page two can only be accessed by paying patrons for now. Eventually, each page will be free (but censored), patrons will always be many pages ahead and uncensored.

There will also be short stories. A Slice of The Past Story: The Death of Trust part 1 is up for paying patrons. This one is about Alton's past.

I am interviewing artists for a Wild graphic novel. I've seen some awesome artwork and hope to hire someone soon and then show you some samples.

So my werewolf story...

So my werewolf story, not the Nox one, but the one that kinda leached into that story and I said that it belongs on its own? Yeah, I don't blame you I hardly remember too.

Anyhow, I wrote some notes on it then put it away because I never could find "the thing"...you know, that plot point that connects everything and makes the entire story cohesive, that very important detail that creates the glue for all the world building? Well, today I found it...and I'm really excited about it. Hopefully, it's original. I've never read anything with this take on wolf shifters, but then I don't read a whole heck of a lot of them.

I guess when it comes out, you guys can tell me if I did something new...or just reinvented an existing technique.

Bound Gods #9: The Stone God release day!

This book is an "end for now". The timeline begins before book 6 and ends after book 8. It will meet up with the timeline of those books in books 10. The Stone God contains lots of side information that occurred in books 6-8 that only make sense when applied to this particular story. But it will also help you understand some of the motives of certain characters in those past books as well.
Again, this isn't the final story. You're just getting a different perspective of that downward spiral into hell. As well as a lot of information that you will need to understand the next installment.

So my thoughts while reading Purgatory alternated between, “oh God poor Kaleb” “I miss Leo” “Oooh Kaleb…” “I could probably handle a Chimera” “Oh my Goodness, I don’t think I can handle a Chimera” “A cow/bull man doesn’t sound half bad.” “Damn Aaron, get it” “God, I love Taurus” “Skin the color of stone….sounds hot…I could get down with that” “What are you thinking Sonny?” “What’s wrong with you Sonny?” “Sonny, seriously get it the f*ck together!” And that’s basically all I can tell you about that. -Dani

Ummm…ok. This may be the most hurt I’ve ever been after reading an Adrienne Wilder story. Eh, scratch that…My Brother’s Keeper f’d me up for months afterwards. But…but…Adrienne…why, why, why…?!?!!? So, needless to say what I wanted to happen didn’t happen. So, now I am again the poor pathetic soul I didn’t want to be….waiting…waiting…waiting…! Damn, it’s hard to love this author so friggin much. I kind of love it and hate it too. Guess that means I’m a Doxie…go figure… -Dani
